Dydoe-Piercing

Dydoe_Piercing1

The Dydoe Piercing is a piercing which runs from the lower edge of the glans up toward the glans.

We usually use straight bars or banana bars for this, and the piercing is usually performed as a pair, to the right and left of the glans.

A Dydoe is not a dangerous piercing, and if one ball is placed on the glans and another behind it on the edge of the glans, there is no risk for the wearer or their partner.

The Dydoe naturally provides great pleasure to the partner.

It is often circumcised men who choose this form of piercing.

Origins:

As was mentioned, the Dydoe Piercing is predominantly performed on circumcised men. According to the US piercing pioneer Doug Malloy, the Dydoe was invented by a group of Jewish students from the Cyprian Society. The intention was to render the glans more sensitive in men who were circumcised (Jews are circumcised as a rule). Nowadays, the piercing is worn both as a stimulant to the glans and for its aesthetic value.

Healing:

This piercing can take 3-4 months to heal, and if the individual has a thin foreskin it can lead to complications. During the healing process it is recommended that you clean the area regularly.

Genital piercings can take between 2 weeks and 6 months to heal completely, rarely longer. Like other external piercings, in the first three weeks it should be cleaned with ProntoLind spray twice a day, and then coated with ProntoLind gel. It is important to wash your hands before touching the pierced area and the jewelry itself. By caring for the piercing in the correct manner and with the proper materials, you will rarely have to deal with cases of proud flesh.

In the first few days following the procedure, we recommend that you abstain from sexual intercourse, or at least wear a condom if doing so.

The piercing can be performed on an uncircumcised man, provided the foreskin is a little looser. For an uncircumcised man the piercing can occasionally cause discomfort.

In short, it is more suited to an circumcised man.

Risks:

The piercing can be occasionally uncomfortable for an uncircumcised man, and if the foreskin is particularly tight, it can cause an infection. A circumcised man will not experience these problems.

Stimulation:

The Dydoe provides stimulation to the wearer and his partner. The man will feel a heightened sense of pleasure in the glans area, and it can even make the glans itself more sensitive. The woman will also benefit, because the balls placed on the right and left side will provide friction and a gentle massage to the vaginal wall.

Jewelry:

As mentioned, we usually use a banana bar, that is, a curved barbell. The length and ball size will depend the individual’s penis size. A normal straight bar may also be used; rings however are not recommended due to the excessive friction during sex.

Variation:

The Deep Dydoe Piercing, which is performed on the tip of the penis
