Vertical Clitoral Hood Piercing (VCH)

Along with the horizontal clitoral hood piercing (HCH) this is probably the most popular form of genital piercing.

Along with the horizontal clitoral hood piercing (HCH) this is probably the most popular form of genital piercing.

The HCH has been very much in vogue in recent years, and the reasons is plain: on the one hand it stimulates the clitoris, and on the other it looks gorgeous.

The piercing adapts itself naturally to the body and looks as if it had always been there.

Since this piercing heals quickly and without problems, there is really nothing that speaks against getting it.

Men love it, and women derive great pleasure from it.

Stimulation:

The sexual pleasure afforded by a VCH piercing is considerably greater than a HCH, because the piercing bears down more on the clitoris, leading to increased stimulation.

This doesn’t mean that it is a constant source of stimulation (e.g. while riding the subway or sitting in the office), but that it can to be stimulated by the woman or her partner.

The degree of stimulation can be strengthened or weakened depending on the size of the ball and length of the bar.

Nowadays you can find certain piercing balls—like rattlebells—which are are balls that contain a second internal ball which causes the outer ball to vibrate lightly.

Most women agree that this piercing does in fact provide a great deal of pleasure when it comes to sensual experiences and orgasms.

Jewelry:

There are countless jewelry options when it comes to a VCH piercing. Generally we recommend a lightly curved 1.6mm bar. Occasinally a VCH piercing is stretched to 2.0mm or 2.5mm.

Initially a bigger ring is used, which is then replaced by a smaller one after about two weeks. The diameter used will depend on the anatomy and wishes of the client.

The size of the ball and the diameter are important. Initially we recommend a combination using a 4mm or 5mm ball. Subsequently, many women opt for a larger ball which increases stimulation, with a combination of 5mm/6mm, or 6mm/8mm balls. Alternatively you can also use the so-called rattlebells which are 6mm large.

Few female customers wear a ring in their VCH, but occasionally they may choose to.

Whatever your wish, we have the right jewelry for you.

Healing:

The clitoral hood piercing generally heals very quickly and there are rarely any complications. Approximately two weeks are needed for the initial healing stage.

Genital piercings can take between 2 weeks and 6 months to heal completely, rarely longer. Like other external piercings, in the first three weeks it should be cleaned with ProntoLind spray twice a day, and then coated with ProntoLind gel. It is important to wash your hands before touching the pierced area and the jewelry itself. By caring for the piercing in the correct manner and with the proper materials, you will rarely have to deal with cases of proud flesh.

Disinfectant solutions containing alcohol or chlorine should be avoided.

When it comes to having sexual intercourse following the piercing we do not advise you against it, but usually people wait a couple of days before resuming normal sexual relations.

A secret tip is using your own urine as a healing agent, which can speed up the healing process enormously.

Placement:

Only the right placement will provide the desired stimulation of the clitoris, since I’ve seen many badly executed clitoral hood piercings that do not stimulate the customer but hamper them instead.

An actual picture is more effective at showing how the piercing should sit and where it should be executed. However, what may look easy on the photo is actually very difficult to do. That is why I would advise you to go to a reputable piercer, since anyone can claim “they can do this.”

Those who have already gotten a clitoral hood piercing and don’t know whether it has been done correctly can consult this photo. The piercing really has to penetrate the clitoral hood rather than split it. Also, the needle must reach the highest point of the hood before exiting.

If this form of piercing fails to stimulate, it always means that it has been poorly executed.

Variation:

Variations and combinations are possible. Many choose to turn their VCH piercing into a Magic Cross or a Diana piercing.

Alternatives include the HCH or the Deep Clitoral Hood piercing.

Although the Triangle piercing is also done through the clitoral hood, but at the very bottom, it isn’t technically considered a clitoral hood piercing.

Along with the horizontal clitoral hood piercing (HCH) this is probably the most popular form of genital piercing.
